A
colorless, nontoxic, noncorrosive, nonflammable gas
which is extremely stable. When heated to decomposition,
toxic byproducts are formed. Contact with liquid may
cause frostbite . Shipped as liquefied gas under its
own vapor pressure (418 psig @ 70°F).

Information: |
Hexafluoroethane is a nonflammable,
colorless, odorless liquefied compressed gas packaged
in cylinders under its own vapor pressure of 430.3
psig at 70°F. It can cause rapid suffocation
when concentrations are sufficient to reduce oxygen
levels below 19.5%. Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus
(SCBA) may be required for rescue workers. Contact
with product can cause frostbite. |
